DataStage V8 - Information Server Administration Training  

The InfoSphere Information Server Administration course is designed for students whose role and responsibility is for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of the V8.01/V8.1 software environment. This 3-day course will cover topics that include: Information Server software platform and architecture; Installation of the Information Server components; Security and Role configuration of the software environment; Architectural deep dive and configuration; Software environment administration and monitoring; Software environment maintenance. Learn using a combination of lecture and hands-on lab. You must be comfortable with general operating system knowledge in the areas of networking, IO sub-system, shell commands, file system and RDBMS. The lab environment for this course is Redhat Linux v4, Information Server V8.1, and DB2 V9.1. After this course you are able to, Understand Information Server architecture and component functionality, Install and configure Information Server, Monitor Information Server performance, Backup and recover an Information Server platform and Connect databases to Information Server.
