Java Application Schulung: Develop, test and use JSP custom tags
This 5-day instructor-led course teaches software developers how to build Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) applications based on servlets and JavaServer Pages (JSPs). The course covers the Java EE 5 component model and the advantages of using an application server such as IBM WebSphere Application Server V7. Through lectures and hands-on exercises, the course teaches students how to develop and test servlets, servlet filters, JSPs, JSP custom tags, and JavaBeans. Students learn how to use IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software v7.5 to develop and debug Web-based applications, and how to package and deploy applications to IBM WebSphere Application Server V7. In addition, students learn best practices for building J2EE e-business applications, including the use of the model-view-controller (MVC) framework to separate concerns among the JavaBeans, JSPs, and servlets in the application. Hands-on exercises throughout the course give students practical experience with the skills and concepts covered in the lectures, and include topics such as creating and combining servlets, JSP pages, and JavaBeans, session management, and using JSP Expression Language. This course covers the same material as course Mastering Servlet and JSP Development with Rational Application Developer V7.5.(RD810)
