WebSphere Entwicklung Schulung: Fundamentals and new features for WebSphere
This course is designed for those who are new to developing applications for WebSphere Portal Server V7.0. Learn the fundamentals of designing and creating portlets, and move on to put to use of the new features. Specialized topics include migrating a V6.1 theme to the new version 7.0 theme architecture using Client Side Aggregation V2 (CSA2), developing custom themes using CSA2, and customizing the user interface for tagging and rating. Learn about iWidgets for the Mashup Center and gain experience customizing and using these for a WebSphere Portal V7.0 site. In addition, you will have the opportunity to apply best coding practices throughout the course, developing robust portlet applications and portal themes using Dojo, AJAX and client-side aggregation. This course makes extensive use of Rational Application Developer V8.0 to develop and test JSR 286 compliant portlets. This instructor-led course is designed for experienced application developers who are familiar with Java, Web 2.0, and Web development and who are familiar with security concepts. This course covers migration of a 6.1 theme to the new version 7 theme architecture using Client Side Aggregation. (CSA2). In addition, learn how to develop a theme using CSA2, an iWidget, and how to develop a custom user interface for tagging and rating. This in-depth course for WebSphere Portal 7.0 application development uses AJAX and Dojo support, along with client side aggregation version 2 (CSA2) to help the user create exceptional Web experiences. All labs are done using Rational Application Developer (RAD) 8.0.
