Developing Applications for IBM WebSphere Process Server V6.2 - II Training  

In this 5-day instructor-led course, students learn advanced development techniques using the IBM WebSphere Integration Developer tool. This course builds on the integration skills taught in these introductory courses: # Developing IBM WebSphere Process Server V6.2 Business Integration Solutions I (WU050) or (VU050), # Developing IBM WebSphere Process Server V6.2 Business Integration Solutions I (WB211) or (VB211) and # Developing Business Integration Solutions for IBM WebSphere Process Server - I (WB111) or (VB111). In each of the introductory courses listed above, students learn the basics of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and build a simple end-to-end scenario using IBM WebSphere Integration Developer and IBM WebSphere Process Server. This course takes the scenario built in the introductory courses as a starting point, and teaches students about the development life cycle in process integration. After completing one of the introductory courses and then this course, students have the knowledge they need to implement complex business integration scenarios by using WebSphere Integration Developer and WebSphere Process Server. This course goes into greater detail regarding WebSphere process integration from both the runtime and development aspects, enabling students to address common integration and project implementation problems. Students learn about WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) binding mechanics in order to better understand the technology used by WebSphere Process Server, as well as approaches to securing Service Component Architecture (SCA) applications. Advanced tooling topics include business process choreographer (BPC), business state machines (BSM), business object (BO) mapping, cross-referencing, dynamicity, component versioning, and source control using Concurrent Versions System (CVS). In the hands-on lab exercises, students build on the scenario developed in the introductory courses. Students are introduced to WebSphere Business Modeler by exporting a business model from WebSphere Business Modeler and then importing the model into WebSphere Integration Developer as Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). Throughout the course, students build a second scenario and implement more complex logic on top of both scenarios. Skills covered include transforming data, working with various kinds of relationships, and implementing security.
